Abacus Offline Activation

Abacus recommends using the online activation of the Abacus software.

However. if the Abacus server is not connected to the Internet, an offline activation can be performed.

• First run the activation wizard (Q901) in the Abacus software and select "Create activation request for subsequent activation".
• Next enter the details of the person making the request.
• After this step you will receive the request file (*.req) which must be uploaded to this page.
• Enter a mail address and click on "Send".
• The request file will now be checked and after a positive check you will receive the activation file (*.res).
• Back in the activation wizard, select "Install activation response" and then enter the activation file (*.res), which you have received by mail and which you can also download from this page.

Activation of the Abacus software is now complete, and your Abacus environment is released for multi-user operation.

Note

Please note that the use of Abacus Cloud Services requires the online activation of the Abacus software. The Cloud Services cannot be used if the installation is activated via offline activation. This would impact, among other things, push notifications for Abacus Access, or the use of DeepBox.
